Cleveland, OH: Teacher robbed in school parking lot An elementary school teacher was robbed and her car was stolen as she arrived at work around 7:30am.
Appomattox, VA: Explosives found at home of suspected Va. gunman A bomb squad discovered a multitude of explosives at the home of a man accused of shooting to death eight people. The county’s four schools remained closed for the day and crisis teams were to be at the school when it reopened. The superintendent said he expected students from the district would be involved.
Livingston, AL: Alabama teacher killed outside school; husband arrested A 32-year-old female high school teacher was shot and killed outside of the school allegedly by her husband.
Middletown, OH: Man accused of shooting at schoolchildren A 54-year-old male was arrested for allegedly firing on schoolchildren with a 12-gauge shotgun at a school bus stop near his home.
Orlando, FL: Private school shooting victim behind bars A 25-year old male brother of a private school student was shot when he reportedly jumped into a fight at the school involving his brothers. The male victim was later arrested for an outstanding warrant unrelated to the fight.
The Colony, TX: Police: Boy found hanged in Texas school bathroom A 9-year-old boy was found hanged in the bathroom of an elementary school in an apparent suicide.
New York, NY: Federal class-action lawsuit charges school safety officers subjected kids to ‘excessive force’ The New York Civil Liberties Union alleges that NY City school safety officers have subjected students to excessive force. It’s director stated, “Students were handcuffed, arrested… injured, denied medical care, illegally interrogated, intimidated and humiliated by school safety officers.”
